It might actually snow on Christmas day this year, what a great way to celebrate our last Christmas in London! It will hopefully be  the picture perfect winter wonderland you always see on the cards or in movies.

It started snowing a few weeks ago but melted over the next few days, then we got some fresh snow on Friday and even though it is icing over fresh snow has started falling again (which is bad news for our friends who wanted to go home for Christmas as the airports aren’t coping very well).

Coming from SA I have never quite seen the attraction of a white Christmas, in fact I really miss our hot summers dearly and can’t wait till we start having them again in Australia, give me a braai for Xmas dinner instead any day. But now that I might actually get to experience a proper white Christmas here I am definitely getting very excited at the prospect!

The Wedding

Finally I have had a moment for an update!

Since our last announcement of getting engaged, we have now gotten married!

On 30th October 2010, Sean and I tied the knot at a registry office in South West London with our some of our family and friends with us to witness. We went for a very easy soft vintage theme and I was even lucky enough to have the use of my grandmothers old fur coat, which made my something borrowed very special. The day was amazingly, lovely and everyone had lots of fun, my mom and step-dad even managed to fly down in time to be with us, although we really missed those who could not attend!

We unfortunitely didn’t manage to get away for a honeymoon but  since we are planning to move to Australia next year we thought we may as well save all our money and have a great holiday when we get there, before we have to start settling in and looking for work etc.
